Tour Duration
The Salalah Landscape Tour is a 3 day and 2 night affair. Your stay during the tour will be at a luxurious hotel in Salalah.
Day 1
On day 1, you will be arriving at the beautiful city of Salalah and will be transferred to your hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 2
The day will begin with breakfast at the hotel, after which you will be leaving for a day tour on a 4X4 vehicle. Today, you will be visiting the mystical Qara Mountains, followed by the tranquil Ayn Sahalnoot Valley.
Later, a drive through the pleasing Jebali villages will lead you to Wadi Ayun, a scenic turquoise pool nestled amidst mountains.
Next, you will head towards Salalah Plains to visit the ancient tomb of Prophet Job.
The day tour will come to an end with a visit to the serene Mughsail and Fazayah beaches that offer crystal clear waters, powdery sands and stunning landscape.
After the beach frenzy, you will be returning to your hotel for overnight stay.
Day 3
After breakfast at your hotel, today your day trip will begin with a visit to the famous Museum of the Frankincense Land. The museum displays a rich collection of ancient artefacts, boats, and ships that date back to Omani Renaissance and Frankincense.
Your next stop will be the old coastal town of Haffah. You will be stopping by old Gold Souk, Silver Souk, and Haffah Souk where you can shop for traditional handicrafts and artefacts.
Some of the other attractions you will be visiting today are Al Husn Palace and Shanfari Mosque.
As the day tour ends, you will return to your hotel and will be transferred to Salalah Airport for your return/onward journey.
Best time to visit Salalah, Oman
June to August is considered to be the best time to visit Salalah because of the monsoon season. Light monsoon drizzles during this period make Salalah a wonderful place to be. This is also the time to indulge in the Salalah Tourism Festival that takes place from 15th July to 31st August every year. You can also plan your visit between September and February when the weather is mostly pleasant and perfect for trekking, cycling and wildlife sighting.
