Cricket’s most popular tournament, the ICC World Cup is scheduled to start from 30 May, and the 2019 edition is going to be hosted by England and Wales. A lot of cricket lovers and fans are certain to be a part of this incredible carnival and catch the action live. Throughout the championship, 10 international teams will play 48 matches in a round-robin format at 11 world class venues for 46 days. Top four teams will qualify for the semi-finals that will be played in Manchester and Birmingham on 9th July and 11th July respectively. With just a couple of weeks left, the excitement is building up and the cricket lovers around the world are waiting with bated breath for the Championship to begin. Teams
England (hosts), Australia, Bangladesh, India, New Zealand, Pakistan, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan and West Indies.
Among the most popular teams, the current champions Australia will play their first match with ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifier champions Afghanistan on 1st June at Bristol; two times World champions India will match-up South Africa on 5th June in Southampton. India and Pakistan the two arch rivals are scheduled to take on each other on 16 June at Old Trafford while England and Australia face off each other on 25th June at the Lord’s.
Venues
Lord’s and The Oval in London will witness 5 matches each with the former hosting the final match on 14th July. Manchester’s Old Trafford and Birmingham’s Edgbaston will host 5 matches each including one semi-final a piece on 9th July and 11th July respectively. Old Trafford is scheduled to host the maximum number of matches (6) this ICC Cricket World Cup season. Other venues include Bristol, Cardiff, Chester-le-Street, Leeds, Nottingham, Southampton and Taunton.

The biggest names of the squad members to look out for in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 include Virat Kohli, Jos Buttler, Ben Stokes, Andre Russel, Imran Tahir, Steve Smith, Chris Gayle, Dinesh Karthik, Kane Williamson, Hashim Amla, Angelo Mathews, Rashid Khan, Shoaib Malik and Shimron Hetmyer.
