Jet Airways Starts Its Operations from Mumbai Airport New Terminal

Jet Airways’ recently moved its international operations at Mumbai to the all new terminal 2 of Chattrapati Shivaji International Airport. The airline’s flights between Mumbai in India and London Heathrow became the first to depart from T2.

Jet Airways’ hospitality fans booking tickets on flights with the carrier have yet another reason to smile now as India’s leading private airline recently announced to move all its international operations to the new terminal T2 of Mumbai’s Chattrapati Shivaji International Airport (CSIA).

The state-of-the-art integrated terminal T2 at CSIA recently started operations with the inaugural flight of Jet Airways. The airline’s flight 9W 118 from Mumbai in India to London Heathrow became the first-ever flight to depart from the airport’s latest, modern and spacious T2 on February 12, 2014.

The airline has already completed the process of testing to set up its operational and logistical services at the newest airport facility.

The airline offers tickets on an average daily 111 flights out of Mumbai and endeavours to provide superior guest comfort and convenience while offering tickets seekers a seamless connection on to the airline’s wide-ranging network via Mumbai in India.

Sprawling across 4.4 million sq. ft, the new state-of-the-art T2 is set to feature 208 check-in counters and 60 immigration counters. Economy Class passengers booking relatively cheap air tickets with Jet Airways will be able to use check-in counters from 1 to 14 at gate seven on level 4, while premium flyers booking first or business class flights will be able to use counters 8 to 10 at gate 8 on level 4.

In addition, the terminal is also set to feature wide-spread retail space, transit hotel and a range of other useful leisure and business services and facilities to ensure world-class experience for passengers booking tickets aboard flights to and from Mumbai Airport’s T2. It is set to handle approximately 40 million passengers every year.

At present, the premier private carrier of India offers tickets aboard some 25 flights to/from CSIA in India to several destinations in the Gulf, Far East, Europe and North America.
