Anyone booking flights to Sydney can look forward to discovering plenty of good places to eat, drink, shop and relax, according to one journalist.
Anyone seeking views over Sydney’s famous harbour should consider staying in the Four Seasons hotels in the Rocks, while the seaside retreat of Bondi Beach House will give travellers access to one of the city’s most famous surf spots.
The journalist strongly recommended paying a visit to Cockatoo Island, which is located in the middle of Sydney Harbour.
Cockatoo Island used to be a prison but is now home to a host of artists’ workshops, as well as a cafe and campsite, which is described as “one of the most atmospheric camping spots in the world”.
As well as being able to walk around the island, either alone or as part of a guided tour, tourists can choose to take to the water to get another view of the location.
Kayaks can be hired and the trip from the slipway in western Sydney Harbour could reward holidaymakers with great views of some of the city’s most famous landmarks.
