Virgin president Sir Richard Branson has launched a new airline to provide passengers with an exciting around the world link.

As of February 27th, V Australia will fly from Sydney to Los Angeles initially, meaning that explorers can get from London to Hong Kong to Sydney to Los Angeles and back to London in as little as eight days.

Sir Richard is currently doing just this in order to promote the airline to people looking for flights to see as much of the world as possible.

“It means consumers can travel on Virgin globally for the first time. It’s a unique moment in Virgin’s history,” he commented.

More links for other Australian cities are to be announced once the carrier is established.

Virgin Atlantic celebrates its 25th birthday on June 22nd this year and a current TV advertisement celebrates the 80s in its honour, with passengers eating Wimpy burgers, puzzling out Rubik’s cubes and chatting on enormous mobile phones.
