Virgin Atlantic has opened its new Gatwick clubhouse for premium passengers.
The new Virgin Atlantic clubhouse is now available to premium travellers at Gatwick Airport.
With over 795 square metres of floor space, the luxurious lounge has undergone a complete refurbishment and now contains a Cowshed spa for passengers looking to relax between flights.
Created by FDArchitecture and the airline’s in-house design team, the clubhouse features seating for 130 travellers and has been described by Virgin Atlantic chief executive Steve Ridgway as “the ultimate pre-flight experience”.
He added: “Now we have introduced some of the best elements of our flagship Heathrow clubhouse, such as the luxurious Cowshed spa, at Gatwick.”
Available to Upper Class and Gold Card passengers, the clubhouse could provide some blissful moments of relaxation for people taking flights to Sydney, Cape Town or Johannesburg from London.
Virgin Atlantic was recently named the winner of the Best Scheduled Airline – Long Haul category at the 2009 British Travel Awards.
