Abu Dhabi has hosted this year’s world’s strongest man contest.

The strongest people in the world have converged on Abu Dhabi in order to participate in the annual World’s Strongest Man contest.

A group of men from around the world descended on the state in order to take on the various challenges posed as part of the contest, with Krzysztof Radzikowski of Poland eventually being named as the winner.

The WSF World Strongman Championship took place in the state over several days and saw 25 finalists from 23 nations reduced down to nine, who were then given intense challenges for the remaining three days.

With feats including pulling a 7.5 tonne lorry 20 metres in the fastest time possible and a race flipping over 320 kg tractor tyres, the contest was a sight to behold for the many spectators who visited.

Abu Dhabi is increasingly attracting a diverse number of events and performers, with Madonna recently announcing she will perform a concert in the emirate during June.
