Briton heading abroad – including those going on holidays to Australia – are at risk of spending their precious two weeks falling out if they take their stress and tension with them.

This is according to Mike Whiting, spokesperson for HolidayExtras.com, after a survey by the firm found that some 60 per cent of people argue with their partner at least once on a holiday.

He urged people to relax before they go, not stress about small things such as suitcases and airport parking.

“Arriving feeling stressed and annoyed is likely to cause tension, when really the most important thing is to enjoy your time away with your family or loved one,” he commented.

According to research carried out by Anthisan bite and sting cream, sunburn, stomach upsets and bad weather are the things people are most likely to worry about before they go on holiday, with 34 per cent also saying they were worried about mosquitoes.
