The royal, who has a reputation for being something of a thrill seeker, was photographed frolicking in the sea with pals and wearing a stars and stripes bikini.
She also visited some of the bars in Phuket to partake in some games and local beer sampling.
Eugenie is reported to be staying in a £10 a night backpacker hostel, as well as having jetted off on her gap year via economy class to avoid public criticism over spending by the royal family.
“Accommodation has been very basic. Like many 19-year-olds, Eugenie is travelling with pals to see the world before she continues her studies,” an unnamed source told the Sun.
Indeed, Thailand is consistently popular with gap year travellers. In an article for TheSite.org, Tom Griffiths of GapYear.com recommends the south Asian country as a great all-rounder for such a trip.
