A new book has been published, suggesting new and interesting places to stay for travellers looking for a unique holiday experience.
Bed in a Tree and other amazing hotels from around the world reveals some of the “craziest places to stay” on the planet, eTravel.org reported.
Author of the book, Bettina Kowalewski tells the stories behind some of the strangely wonderful places she has stayed in such as a seashell house built by a man called Eduardo Ocampo.
Each hotel is perfect for a traveller bored with chain hotels or boutique accommodation and interesting activities in each location are also provided by Ms Kowalewski.
One of the hotels may be of interest to those flying to South Africa for a holiday, as travellers can stay in an actual bed in a tree.
“Every hotel surpassed my wildest expectations,” Ms Kowalewski told eTravel.org.
“There was always far more than I had dared to hope – more charming attention to detail, more amazing stories, more everlasting impressions,” she added.
People taking a holiday in South Africa between June and September might want to try their hand at diving with sharks at Aliwal Shoal.
