Princess Emma is now a permanent resident at the Cape Town Waterfront, but is available to anyone who wants to take her out, be it for a quick trip to Hout Bay for lunch or for a longer voyage.
Complete with the latest navigation equipment, Princess Emma can achieve speeds of 34 knots and is worth £2.5 million.
Peter Bacon, director of the charter company responsible for her, said: “Princess Emma is the largest and most prestigious luxury motor yacht available for charter in South Africa and we are proud to have this vessel in our portfolio to enhance the appeal of this truly amazing destination.”
However, with an hour’s hire of the yacht costing £1,000, perhaps many tourists will simply enjoy regarding the magnificent ship from the mainland.
City guide publisher DK Eyewitness Travel recently named Cape Town in a list of its top places to visit for 2009 thanks to its recent investment in tourist infrastructure.
