The latest titles in a new guidebook series focus on destinations in South Africa.

A pair of guidebooks to two of South Africa’s most well-known cities have been launched in time for the World Cup.

The newest titles from the new A Hedonist’s Guide To… (Hg2) series focus on Johannesburg and Cape Town, offering insights on the best places to snack, sleep, drink, eat and party in the cities.

People planning a holiday to Johannesburg will find themselves immersed in the city’s colourful history of diamonds and gold, while those booking flights to Cape Town will no doubt be captivated by the city’s mixture of European and African cultures.

Those who love to walk may be keen to check out a series that explores the best strolls South Africa has to offer before they book their flight.

Julia Bradbury’s new series, which began on April 26th, details four of the best places to walk in South Africa, including Kruger National Park, the Kalahari and Drakensberg. The first episode series focussed on the Garden Route, a beautiful 200km stretch of coastline in the southern part of the country.
