This is the suggestion of an article in the Times, which recommends the Splashy Fen event as “the ultimate outdoor experience”.
Taking place from April 9th to 13th, the festival will host live bands including Watershed and Goldfish, as well as a host of other leisure options and activities for the whole family.
According to the official Splashy Fen website, 2009 marks the 20th anniversary of the festival, which sees in the region of 10,000 people travel to Underberg every year to see its “unique character and appeal”.
There are also plenty of facilities for anyone in need of somewhere to stay, with a campsite and a tent hotel on offer, as well as crèches for little ones.
Splashy Fen is located approximately 225 kilometres from Durban and 615 kilometres from Johannesburg.
