This year’s Cape Town Horrorfest will take place from October 24th to November 2nd.

Frankenstein has been named as the theme for this year’s South African Horrorfest.

Anyone catching flights to Cape Town from October 24th all the way to November 2nd will be able to see the special celebrations that the Mother City has planned.

This is the eighth year that the Horrorfest has been held in South Africa and this time it will embrace all sorts of entertainment.

Not surprisingly, Mary Shelley’s classic will feature prominently with literature readings at the Book Lounge, but there are also a host of other variations on the monster story.

There will be a sneak preview of the upcoming Tim Burton film Frankenweenie and a huge Zombie Walk that will see people in great costumes head out from Company Gardens down to the V&A Waterfront.

On the night of Halloween itself, the Makabra Ensemble will provide the live music to the climax of the Horrorfest – the Halloween Dress-Up Competition.
