More people are getting to see the Taj Mahal thanks to the Yunuma Expressway.
As predicted, the recently opened Yamuna Expressway is making it much easier for foreign tourists to see the iconic Taj Mahal.
The monument is situated in the city of Agra – a place that does not have its own international airport. The most popular way to see the Wonder of the World is to book a flight to Delhi and then travel by car.
To make this trip easier, authorities recently commissioned and opened the Expressway and now visitors are seeing the benefit as it reduces the journey time dramatically.
Kishor Gupta, an Agra hotelier, told News Track India that it was very exciting and a real boost for everyone concerned.
“We already have a lot of dates in November and December that have been sold-out, there are no rooms left in Agra,” he added.
The Yamuna road has reduced today travelling time to around two and a half hours and only costs around 510 rupees (£5.87).
