People who took flights to Hyderabad may have been among those who took part in a charity bike ride in the city.
The Republic Ride in Hyderabad was held on January 26th 2012 by the Atlanta Foundation with the intention of raising money for good causes, mydigitallifefc.com reported.
In total, around 3,000 professional and amateur bike riders turned out to take part in the race, with all the money they raised being used to improve local schools.
Dinanath Harappanali, organiser of the event and founder of the Atlanta Foundation, told the publication people of all ages took part.
“The ride is becoming big. We still have a long way to go. Of course, there are plans to take the event to other cities,” Mr Harappanali added.
People arriving on flights to Hyderabad in the future could find it easier to get to different areas across the country as several new rail services have been announced from the city.
