Delhi’s Jaypee Greens has held the latest tournament in the Audi Quattro Cup 2012.

India continued its burgeoning love affair with golf yesterday (September 6th), as the Audi Quattro Cup 2012 teed off at Delhi’s serene Jaypee Greens.

The one-day event saw 100 golfers all vying for qualification for the India National Final to be played later this month.

Michael Perschke, head of Audi India, said: “The tournament which enters its fifth season in India has emerged as not just a popular sporting event but also as an ideal opportunity to intensify business relationships and establish new contacts.”

The Indian circuit of Audi Quattro Cup traverses the whole of the country from the mountainous north to the tropical south, taking in 13 other cities and allowing almost 1600 golfers to take part.

Any sports fans heading to Delhi, should try to play a round on the Jaypee Greens course if only to experience the surreal contrast between its quiet, lush fairways and the bustling heart of the Indian city.
