Air India has confirmed that it plans to moves its international operations to Delhi’s new terminal 3 (T3).
“Making T3 our hub is a business strategy on the part of both partners,” explained a senior Air India official.
He added that the new partnership could increase revenues for Air India by around nine to 12 per cent per year.
Air India will offer passengers 56 check-in desks at the new T3 as well as up to 18 aerobridges. Travellers will also benefit from better gates and parking bays which could reduce transfer times by around 90 minutes.
The airline currently serves a number of destinations throughout India, including offeringflights to Mumbai and Hyderabad.
