Dubai is quickly becoming one of the world’s leading destinations for families, it has been claimed.
According to Ian Scott, UK and Ireland director of the government of Dubai’s department of tourism and commerce marketing, the Emirate can cater for all kinds of interests, including culture, shopping and water sports.
In addition, its beaches and excellent accommodation are hard to beat, Mr Scott said.
“Dubai always looks to go beyond people’s wildest dreams. [It] will witness a raft of exciting initiatives over the next few years, offering an impressive portfolio of world-class facilities for families,” he added.
New developments planned for the coming years include Marvel Entertainment’s theme park, due to open in 2011 and featuring Spider Man, X-Men and the Incredible Hulk, as well as Nickelodeon’s park, complete with SpongeBob Square Pants and Dora the Explorer.
According to M&S Money, over £1 million worth of Dubai’s currency had been sold during October, the highest amount ever.
