Travellers opting for cheap flights to Dubai to enjoy the sunshine could find they sleep more soundly while away from home, claims a new survey.
A further 11 per cent felt that escaping their daily worries ensured they had a more relaxing sleep, although 29 per cent admitted it was hard to snooze in an unfamiliar bed.
The survey found that just 24 per cent of men had trouble sleeping compared to 37 per cent of females when separated from their usual bed.
Mike Whiting, managing editor of HolidayExtras.com, explained that although holidays are relaxing, there is often an “element” of missing home comforts.
He added: “It doesn’t mean people aren’t enjoying their break – a third of people in the UK have bouts of insomnia and sometimes being in a different bed or a different place is all it takes to disturb someone’s sleep.”
Bloomberg recently reported that Emirates airline are is planning to offer daily A380 flights to Dubai from Manchester from the start of September.
