The forthcoming Dubai Shopping Festival could be a major attraction for those taking flights to Dubai.
Ebrahim Saleh, festivals coordinator general and deputy chief executive officer of Dubai Events and Promotions Establishment, explained that Emirates airline is also playing a role in promoting the event by offering special travel packages to visitors.
“We plan to communicate the mixture of activities, promotions, shopping and events that will be on offer in DSF 2011 to the media, travel agencies and tour operators in these countries in an effort to attract more visitors to Dubai,” Mr Saleh added.
Meanwhile, Dubai Duty Free is predicting to achieve double-digit growth in sales in 2010, with prospects for next year also looking strong.
