Anyone arriving on flights to Bangkok should visit the Bangkok Smiles Photo Exhibition to gain an understanding of the city’s culture.
The event is said to “reflect the perceptions, techniques and art of recording images of Bangkok in various dimensions conveying the magnificence of the way of life in the metropolis”.
Installations will celebrate historical buildings and festivals held within the city, as well as showing how people live in the Thai capital.
Visitors to the gallery are also being encouraged to submit their own snaps of Bangkok in a photo competition as part of a project to promote tourism within the city.
Other exhibitions due to start later this month include one entitled Imagine Peace – which features newly-created pieces representing the recent unrest in the country – and Women with Disabilities: Inspiration, Grace and Value, a collection of photos chronicling the lives of women who have to live with disabilities.
