Sydney Harbour is set to be given a stunning makeover as part of a festival taking place later this year.
Sydney Harbour is to be given a stunning new look as it is turned into a huge light installation in time for the start of Vivid 2012.
The area will be given a makeover by German company Urbanscreen as it creates an incredible installation named the Lighting of the Sails.
Images will be projected on the Sydney Opera House and the Museum Of Contemporary Art and the Customs House will be used as a canvas for a series of displays.
The event is also a music festival, with a line-up boasting some of the world’s best female singers helping to boost excitement around the event.
Florence and the Machine will headline, with the group playing tracks from their two albums backed by the Ceremonial Orchestra.
Beginning on May 25th 2012, the event is also a place for companies and individuals to put forward their innovative new design ideas, with meetings and seminars hosted across the 18-day festival.
