Filming new movie Australia allowed Nicole Kidman to get back to her roots, the actress has said.
The Hollywood beauty said she thoroughly enjoyed making the film, which comes out in the UK in December and tells the story of an English woman who has to drive her cattle 1,500 miles across Australia in order to sell them.
She had to learn how to round up cattle and said she loved getting back to nature, reports the Daily Record.
“I have always felt very connected to Australia. Even as a child, we were taken on holidays where we’d go out to the bush, ride horses and swim in waterholes,” Kidman commented.
In fact, she enjoyed her cowgirl experience so much that she bought a ranch and a herd of cattle after filming was over.
People going on holidays to Australia may also be interested to hear that the 41-year-old actress recently credited swimming in a waterfall in the Australian outback with contributing to her unexpected pregnancy and the birth of her daughter Sunday Rose in July.
