Anyone who has booked cheap flights to Thailand should consider staying in the country for at least two weeks to take advantage of the best hotel deals, one travel expert has claimed.
People who are looking for cheap flights to Thailand for example should look at booking a longer holiday in order to make the most of the cheap hotel deals on offer.
This is the opinion of Nikki Hain, product manager for Middle East, Indochina and Indian Ocean at Premier Holidays.
She noted that many hotels are offering tourists free nights as part of a longer stay, with deals such as buy seven nights and get another seven free “commonplace” at the moment.
Another tip for saving money on holidays is to find cheap flights by taking an indirect route, according to Ms Hain.
She also noted that a stopover can be included as part of the holiday for anyone who wants to stop off for a few days.
New research released by Thomson earlier this month found that bookings among Brits to long-haul destinations have risen by 14 per cent in 2010, with India and Egypt among the most popular choices.
