Fashion designer Marc Jacobs has revealed that a holiday to Thailand was his dream break.
People who have booked flights to Thailand may be intending to travel into the north of the country to visit Chiang Mai.
One famous fashion designer recently revealed that he had an amazing holiday in the country.
In an interview with Travel + Leisure magazine, Marc Jacobs commented that a vacation in Thailand was “a dream trip”.
“My fiance and I rode elephants in Chiang Mai up the mountains and down the Ping River,” he told the publication.
Anyone who is thinking of booking flights to Thailand may be inspired by his comments to visit one of the elephant sanctuaries in the region.
One such establishment is the Elephant Nature Park, located 60 km outside the city.
The sanctuary was set up in the 1990s as a rescue centre for the large mammals and aims to educate visitors as well as locals about the conservation of the animals and restoration of the local rainforest.
