Cape Town’s film festival is an ideal event for those enjoying cheap flights to South Africa.
It is the 12th year the event has been held and it is already gaining favour with some of the world’s more unusual filmmakers. The organisers received over 800 films from around the world but a panel of ten film experts have reduced to this number to just over 50 must-see films.
The festival organisers are welcoming representatives from a number of world-class bodies including Sichuan TV Festival (China), Tempo Documentary Festival (Sweden), Africadoc (France) and BBC Myworld Competition.
One of the most exciting aspects of the show is a special film laboratory which allows up-and-coming and new filmmakers to take part in workshops with experienced directors.
