British actress Miranda Richardson has spoken of a safari experience she had in South Africa.
Anyone who has booked flights to South Africa should make sure that a safari is on their list of activities during a break in the country, one seasoned traveller has claimed.
In an interview with the Daily Telegraph, Miranda Richardson recommended the Londolozi private game reserve in South Africa.
The British actress, who has travelled all over the world for her work, described it as “glamorous and you’ll see what they say you will”.
She told the newspaper of how she spotted leopards and got close to elephants during a trip in the region.
This particular game reserve has been established for 83 years and is run by two families.
It has a history of attracting high-profile guests, with former South African President Nelson Mandela visiting the reserve.
He gave it a stunning endorsement, describing his time there as “a rare privilege” and commenting: “Londolozi represents a model of the dream I cherish for the future of nature preservation in our country.”
