Viewers are in for a treat with singing accompanying a choreographed dance.

Brits on flights to Durban who have an interest in dance still have a few days to check out Divas: Of Music and Dance at the Elizabeth Sneddon Theatre.

Mzansi, which is a Johannesburg-based dance company, is making a rare trip to Durban to bring this remarkable production.

The dance company is known for its versatile performing style that ranges from classical to contemporary.

Dirk Badenhorst, productions director for Mzansi, said: “We strive to be a dance company that is relevant in South Africa in the truest sense of the word and which will address a wider market in South Africa and internationally.”

The dancing is accompanied by singers who will be belting out the classic hits from divas of yesterday and today, including Edith Piaf, Tina Turner, Shania Twain, Celine Dion, Rihanna and Mariah Carey.

The musical director for the production is DuPreez Strauss, with choreography coming from Mari-Louise Basson.

The show concludes on 26th June.
