Vulindlela Nyoni has a solo exhibition on display at the African Art Centre in Durban until August 6th.

Travellers taking cheap flights to Durban can check out the work of a top artist at the African Art Centre in a new exhibition.

The show features a host of work by Vulindlela Nyoni and was opened last month by respected researcher Dr Juliette Leeb-du-Toit, who used to work at the Centre for Visual Art, UKZN.

People should note that there is just over a week to go until the display is taken down, with the solo exhibition due to be showcased until August 6th 2011.

Born in Zimbabwe, Nyoni currently works at the University of KwaZul-Natal and is in the process of completing his PhD in visual art.

He has had solo exhibitions at various African venues, as well as shows in the US and Germany.

The African Art Centre in Durban has operated as a non-profit organisation since 1984, but has played a vital role in providing emerging artists with a platform to show their art for about 50 years now.
