People booking cheap flights with Virgin Atlantic may be able to make use of the two new applications it has launched for the iPhone.
Virgin Atlantic has launched two new iPhone and iPod Touch applications – or apps – which could be of use to those travelling with the airline.
The first of its new innovations is the Jet Lag Fighter, which offers holidaymakers helpful tips for beating jet lag.
World-renowned jet lag and sleep expert Dr Chris Idzikowski teamed up with the carrier to design the app, which includes a personalised daily calendar which offers advice about the best activities to undertake to help reduce the effects of jet lag.
Commenting on the product, Sir Richard Branson, president of Virgin Atlantic, stated: “The Jet Lag Fighter app enables passengers to train their bodies to adjust to the new time zone and enhance the quality of their trip.”
The other new app released by the carrier is the Virgin Atlantic Flight Tracker, which will allow passengers to find information about all of the airline’s departures and arrivals in real time, anywhere in the world.
Following the recent spate of flight disruptions due to the volcanic eruption in Iceland, travellers may be particularly keen to have such information readily available.
