SpiceJet Starts Delhi to Allahabad Kumbh Mela Flights
Global travellers who are enamoured by world’s largest religious gathering, Kumbh Mela, that is taking place in India and are hoping to become a part of it can now book tickets deals for flights arriving in Delhi and get a direct connection to Allahabad, the Indian city where the grand affair is going on.
One of India’s most preferred low-cost airlines; SpiceJet has introduced direct daily flights between the national capital and the holy city. Delhi remains India’s busiest gateway for foreign tourists and more flight connectivity for Allahabad is only going to put smiles on the faces of people planning to attend the holy celebration and seeking travel tickets.
The first flight on the route was launched on February 4, 2013. SpiceJet’s new flights will take off from India’s capital at 13:35 and will reach Allahabad at 14:30. For those seeking tickets for the return journey, tickets will be on offer for a daily flight that’s going to leave ‘Sangam city’ at 14:50. The airline has deployed a 78-seater Bombardier Q-400 aircraft on the new route and is aiming to offer cheap options on flights tickets for the journey.
“The company always wanted to put Allahabad on the national network and what better than to inaugurate the service at a time when the city is hosting the largest religious amalgamation, the Maha Kumbh. On the pious occasion it is a gift for all those who wanted to plan a visit to the holy city,” Times of India, country’s leading English daily quoted a senior official of the airline.
