Parents do not need to take their children out of schools to get cheap flights, it has been claimed.
It is not always necessary to take children out of school to make sure that you get the best holiday deals, one travel expert has asserted.
Victoria Sanders, managing director of Teletext Holidays, explained that although prices at peak times can become very expensive, there are still deals to be found for those that shop around and book early.
“It is about planning ahead and shopping around. If people decided not to go away this summer, there are loads of offers available for next summer,” she said.
Ms Sanders noted that families should be able to book cheap flights to Egypt if they want a budget break this summer.
Research carried out by Opinion Matters for Teletext found that 88 per cent of parents believe having a holiday as a family is important.
Of those polled, 46 per cent admitted to taking their children out of school for a holiday in order to get a better deal.
