Flyers who are more inclined to pick cheap flights deals would be delighted to know that India’s no-frills carrier, IndiGo will soon start offering flights on the Kolkata-Bangkok sector.
IndiGo to Offer Services to Bangkok from Kolkata
Bringing big cheer to flyers seeking flights tickets on the Kolkata-Bangkok route, India’s low-lost carrier, IndiGo has introduced new flights connecting the two destinations of Thailand and India. The flights will be operational from December 21, 2012, with tickets seekers being able to enjoy daily and non-stop services from the date.
Speaking about the new flights launch, Aditya Ghosh, President, IndiGo said, “Bangkok and Kolkata hold a lot of promise for us and indeed is a key market for us. Expanding operations on this route is in line with our growth strategy outlined for both the regions. There are strong trade and tourism ties between eastern region of India and Thailand and travellers have requirements of low fares by an Indian airline.”
Providing economical options to budget travellers who prefer cheap deals for travel tickets, the airline will be offering introductory return tickets for INR 9,009 (a little more than 100 GBP) on all new flights.
India’s budget carrier has recently forayed into international skies and currently offers tickets options on its flights services to Bangkok,Singapore,Dubai,Muscat and Kathmandu from Delhi and Mumbai. This will be the carrier’s first service from Kolkata, an eastern hub of India. Media reports doing the rounds in the country indicate that the budget operator is also keen of initiating flights services to Singapore and Dubai from the city.
The fastest growing airline in India, IndiGo has a fleet of 60 new Airbus A320s and offers tickets on 373 daily flights that connect 33 destinations.
