India’s tourism ministry has decided to commence a multi-lingual helpline for foreign travellers taking flights tickets and landing in India. The service will offer information and support to tourists.
India to Start Tourism Help Line for Foreigners
In what could be a major source of delight for foreign tourists looking to book flights tickets for a pleasurable holiday in India, the authorities in the country have decided to set up a multi-lingual helpline to offer tourism-related information and help to travellers!
Senior government official confirmed that the Minister of Tourism in India has given his nod for launch of the toll-free help line.
“The toll-free helpline would be accessible from everywhere in India and should start functioning in the new calendar year,” a statement from ministry said.
The move is surely going to put smiles on the faces of those travellers who block flights ticket to India for the first time and are often puzzled by the Apart from Hindi and English, the helpline would also be available in the languages of important source countries from where a good percentage of tourists grab flights tickets to travel to India.
India is a top holiday destination that tempts a good six million foreign tourists every year to book tickets on flights arriving in the country. The country is renowned for its cultural and historical treasures that are scattered all over. Now with a new help line in place for foreigners, it is going to get better for independent travellers who need assistance with different aspects of vacations.
