Travelling to India is a way of finding out what life is like to a country very different to home.

Travellers from the UK heading on flights to India have been informed that what they find is likely to be very different to anything they have experienced before.

For those who are heading to the nation of the first time, Sharron Livingston, editor for thetravelmagazine.net, said that what they are likely to find is that the life, food and culture is nothing like that of the western countries.

She explained that it is likely to be a place where “the words culture shock really ring true”.

For a chance to see a range of what the country has to offer, Ms Livingston advised paying a visit to Delhi, for the symbols of the British Empire, Agra to see the Taj Mahal and Jaipur for the many royal connections the city holds.

For nature lovers on flights to India, the bird species found in Ahmedabad were recently praised by the Tourism Corporation of Gujarat.
