People taking flights to India with Air France could be interested to hear that the airline saw a slight increase in passenger numbers last month.

Assessing its figures for October 2011, the carrier reported that it saw a 5.7 per cent increase in traffic over the four-month period.

In addition, the number of people who travelled with the company in the time frame also rose, with the 4.9 per cent increase meaning 6.76 million passengers boarded Air France flights.

Across its Asian network, it reported a rise in traffic of 5.8 per cent and a growth in capacity of 8.4 per cent.

Both its Americas and the European networks also saw an increase in the number of passengers who booked their flights with the airliner.

Last month Air France also announced that there has been a rise in the number of people who had taken flights to India and other locations on board its aircraft.
