Dubai’s budget airline, flydubai, has added a new destination to its portfolio.
The chief executive officer of flydubai, Ghaith Al Ghaith, explained the two Russian cities may not be well known internationally but they do offer a new opportuntity for both business and leisure travellers.
He added: “flydubai is all about offering customers choice and a range of exciting new destinations to discover. We aim to ensure more people travel to more destinations more often and I am confident that the addition of Yekaterinburg and Samara to our network will help us to deliver.” The company’s first flight from Dubai was on June 1st 2009 and the airline has continued to expand by adding new destinations. In the first 12 months of operation, the carrier carried out nearly 8,000 flights, with 85 per cent departing on time.
