Emirates, with which some Brits may have found cheap flights to Dubai, has announced the launch of a new video-based online and TV campaign.
People booking their cheap flights to Dubai with Middle-Eastern airline Emirates may notice a new series of videos the firm is running, aimed at getting people better acquainted with the wonders of Dubai.
A series of 14 videos in documentary style will be broadcast by the airline both on TV and online, drawing attention to the region’s finest attractions and visitor hot spots, reports New Media Age.
They will also be shown on sites such as YouTube, Google and Yahoo.
“Some may question our launching this massive ad campaign at a time of economic turmoil around the world, but Emirates is confident there’s nothing more important than investing to win new customers,” the news provider quotes Boutros Boutros, senior vice-president of communications for Emirates, as saying.
Meanwhile, Dubai is more popular than ever among British and Irish tourists, according to Ian Scott, director at the Dubai department of tourism and commerce marketing.
He said that the organisation is “incredibly confident” that the location’s popularity will continue on its current upward trajectory in 2010.
