The number of people travelling to Dubai has stayed at four million for the eighth month.

The number of people booking flights to Dubai appears to be staying at a consistently high number as it announced it has seen four million over the last month.

This impressive number is not the first time at the emirate has welcomed in such as great volume of visitors, as Dubai Airports reported it is the eighth month there has been four million or more passengers arriving at the airport.

During August, there was a 0.8 per cent increase on passenger numbers compared with the same month of the previous year.

The year to date figures were also up, seeing an eight per cent rise in passenger numbers on the same period of 2010.

People from different areas of the world seem interested in heading to Dubai, with passenger numbers from Saudi Arabia, the US and Bangladesh all increasing.

Travellers on flights to Dubai may have seen the Webb Ellis trophy as it made its way to New Zealand for the Rugby World Cup as it made a brief stop-over in the emirate.
