Passengers travelling on Virgin Atlantic flights to Sydney, among other destinations, may now be able to benefit from better services at Heathrow Airport.

Those opting to travel on the carrier’s Upper Class service from Terminal 3 will now get through check-in and security in only 40 minutes, leaving them with more time to relax in the passenger lounge.

The service is the fastest available journey through any airport in the UK, Virgin Atlantic chief executive Steve Ridgeway said.

“This fastly superior experience has been made possible by the introduction of our award winning Upper Class Wing, which was launched in November last year,” he added.

Earlier this month, Virgin Atlantic has announced that it is to carry out surveys on its passengers in order to improve the customer service it provides.

Research company eDigitalResearch is to help the airline with the polls, which will cover a number of areas, including call centre services and website use.
