Anyone who has been staying in Sydney this week may have seen an unusual sight near the harbour on March 2nd.
For those who touched down on flights to Sydney earlier this week, there was an opportunity to see a world-record breaking attempt at a motorcycle jump near the city’s famous harbour.
On March 2nd, US biker Seth Enslow broke the world record for the longest distance jumped on a motorcycle.
And he managed to repeat the feat shortly after his first successful run because not enough of the anticipated media had arrived.
Enslow smashed the previous record by more than 25 feet. The American managed to travel a staggering 183.7 feet through the air before landing his bike.
The marker that Enslow was attempting to beat was set 11 years ago by Bubba Blackwell in Las Vegas.
Prior to his 175 foot jump, the record was held by Evel Knievel, which was set in 1975.
Holidaymakers in Sydney have been treated to a few unusual sights by the harbour of late, on March 1st more than 5,000 people stripped off for a photography shoot on the steps of the Opera House with artist Spencer Tunick.
