Catch the crate men – an interesting product of Melbourne’s street art scene – when on cheap holidays in Australia.
Melbourne boasts some of the world’s greatest and most interesting examples of street art, it has been claimed, which provide a great spectacle for those on cheap holidays in Australia.
Reflecting upon the most recent developments and installations, daily news provider PSFK states that the so-called crate men, which are made solely from crates, are “another great example” of the creativity on show on the streets of Melbourne.
“Constructed from vibrantly painted milk crates, the huge figures have been found scaling fences, hanging off cranes, perched on rooftops and even fishing in a creek,” the website informs.
In an even more intriguing twist, the website points out that the artist who installs these crate men has not yet been identified and prefers to work incognito.
According to a website dedicated to the figures, some Melbourne locations they have previously appeared in include Newport, Bourke Street, Flinders Street and Birrarung Marr.
