Some interesting and exciting items have been put on display as part of a lace exhibition in Sydney.
Travellers on cheap flights to Sydney who want to see some interesting new art could try heading to the city’s Powerhouse Museum, which is currently hosting an exhibition of lace.
The Love Lace show is set to run at the venue until April 2012 and showcases how many artists are using the delicate and intricate material in order to make a big statement with their art, while others are still using it in more traditional and decorative methods.
Visitors can see the works of 134 different artists from 20 different countries and find out more about how they have put their own unique interpretation on the art of lace making.
Stunning works range from Liudmila Abramova’s fine clothing to Alice Vokac’s images which use the nature of lace to represent the lines of metal bridges.
