Emirates is working with a tourist board to encourage Brits to book cheap flights to Australia, it has emerged.
Airline Emirates has teamed up with the Australian tourist board to deliver a new campaign encouraging Brits to take cheap holidays in Australia.
The £2 million initiative will see the services offered by Emirates to the country highlighted for their convenience and efficiency, as they only stop over once in Dubai.
Outdoor, online and print activity will run to promote the services and draw attention to the delights of taking cheap holidays in Australia. Radio campaigns will also form part of Emirates’ publicity drive for the first time ever.
“Given the current economic climate, it is critical for Australia to be active in the market and we remain committed to keeping the destination top in consumers’ minds,” said Tourism Australia’s regional general manager Rodney Harrex.
Australia has experienced a hotter winter than is usual this year, the BBC reported last week, with temperatures reaching up to 2.47 C higher than the seasonal average in some cities.
