Food lovers will find plenty to excite their palettes in Sydney this August.
Chargrilled barbecue and fresh seafood may be what many travellers look forward to after arriving on flights to Sydney, but the Australian city also boasts a vibrant Italian cooking scene.
To celebrate this slice of the Sydney restaurant community, August 21st will see the city host a day-long festival dedicated to the best of Italian food and wine, TimeOut Sydney reports.
Guests can see cooking demonstrations from leading Italian chefs, adults will enjoy the wine tasting sessions, while the bambini in cucina lessons are designed specifically for kids.
Dozens of top Italian and Australian chefs will be getting involved on the day, while good food connoisseurs can also attend talks from the region’s leading producers and importers.
Tickets are available to reserve now and prices start at just 10 Australian dollars (£6) per head and go up to 60 dollars each for the masterclasses.
