Dance enthusiasts can enjoy a special weekend with the Australian Ballet at the Hamilton Island resort of qualia next month.
The Australian Ballet’s annual Pax de Deux in Paradise performance will be returning to the Queensland resort of qualia on Hamilton Island, it has been announced.
Culture vultures catching flights to Australia can catch the starlight performances on the weekend of July 1st to 3rd, the resort added.
Guests arriving on the opening night can enjoy a special welcome dinner, followed by a question and answer session with David McAllister, the Australian Ballet’s artistic director.
Other luxury features of the weekend include a behind the scenes look at a stage set dance class, followed by a champagne lunch.
Saturday night’s performance will then provide the highlight of the weekend, including Graeme Murphy’s pas de trois from Swan Lake as the finale.
“With the beautiful Tchaikovsky score, the pas de trois is sure to be absolutely breathtaking under the stars at qualia,” Mr McAllister said.
