Anyone booking flights to Australia may want to consider heading to Hamilton Island for a special ballet performance.

The Australian Ballet has announced that it will be holding a sunset performance on Hamilton Island in June.

Anyone who has booked flights to Australia over the next six weeks may want to consider travelling to the east coast island for the show.

The performance is called Pas de Deux in Paradise and will feature a host of principal artists from the Australian Ballet.

It is being held from June 11th to 13th to mark the Queen’s birthday.

Artistic director of the ballet company David MacAllister commented that the show in the Whitsunday Islands has become “an important event” on its calendar.

He went on to describe the sunset performance as “magical”.

This is the third year that the Australian Ballet has appeared on the island for an outdoor show. In addition to the evening of entertainment, there will also be a dinner with the ballet stars, as well as chances to ask them questions and learn more about the Australian Ballet company.
