Heading off on overseas travel is a great way to meet new people from around the world.

Taking a trip overseas is not only a great way to see new countries and experience different things, it can also help you to make a whole new group of friends from around the world.

If it is the first time you are heading away from home, Stuart Rees Jones, founder and chief executive officer of Camps International, said it can be a good idea to go as part of a group.

However, once you have got used to being independent and meeting new people every day, it can be fun to break away and travel solo.

“Heading out on your own to meet new friends from all over the world is the whole point of travelling in my eyes,” Mr Rees Jones explained.

The benefits that travel can have for young people as a way of enhancing their CV is something which has also recently been highlighted by Mr Rees Jones, who explained it is something which prospective employers value.
