Students are increasingly looking to head overseas in order to go to university.

Students are increasingly looking to go to university overseas, as many are now being assured of the high standards they can expect in another country.

Tom Dyer, spokesman for The Student World, explained that young people are looking for something different when going to university and some want to try living in a foreign country as they now know they will be looked after.

Universities are getting good at the process of helping students to integrate with the other people who are already living in their new home nation.

“Most of them have pretty modern halls. If they foreign universities are going to come to the UK and target people, then chances are they are going to take on a number of students,” Mr Dyer said.

Many students who do head overseas may choose to live in a country where they will be taught in English, which could make institutions in these nations more popular.
